Lately, it's been a rarity for me to head outside and sketch people walking their dogs, sipping coffee, etc. I miss doing that! It's fun and it's a great way to brush up on drawing from life. I haven't done it much this Summer either but I did head out to the DIA lawn with Scott not too long ago to sketch people coming home with my new "Pentel Pocket Brush Pen" (Thanks for the heads up Bob!)

Wow! Chris, these are incredible...not that I'm surprised. This style reminds me of the great Will Eisner.
Such lovely lines, and the colour looks great.
Okay, I'm feeling quite inadequate right now, so I'm going to go curl up in a corner and weep.
First! Oh wait. Dang that Jason Curtis!
This is a great style, Chris. Kind of reminds me of Craig Thompson's Blankets. Definitely a good style to keep developing and keep in your back pocket. Great work!
Wow these are wonderful, Chris. Really dig em!
How are you liking the pen? I'm getting one for my birthday. :)
Haha, you're ridiculous Jason! But thanks for the kind words! ;D
Thanks Shane! Yeah, I feel like that pen makes you want to draw like Craig Thompson... Just not as good. ;)
Thanks Kate! I really like the pen and am actually inking all of Reed Gunther issue 2 with one. Tell me whatcha think when you get yours!
Love how this page is laid out. You have a great touch with that brush pen, glad you like it.
Great doodles man, I figured you would kick ass with that brush pen!
These are really nice, Chris! Great job. The girl w/ the laundry bag and the man from the back are my faves ^_^ Kudos to the good 'walking' poses!
OH, yes...these are quite nice and MUCH more different than the typical figure drawing. I wanna see more! =)
